This is the movie that reminds you how proud you are to be Alaskan. From the ancient shores of Beringia to Alaska's wildlife, folklore and music, this film takes you on a one-of-a-kind adventure that will change the way you see, experience, and feel about the Last Frontier. For more information, see our Alaska, The Land Beyond pages.
Summer showings are daily at 11am, noon, 2, 4, and 7pm.
The cameras close in on a pack of wolves as they hunt, a herd of caribou as they graze, and thunder through the tundra giving the viewer a never before seen perspective of one of the earth's most fascinating places. With narration by Charlton Heston it is no wonder this film was nominated for Best Documentary in 1998, but the real reason may be director George Casey's dazzling capture of the aurora borealis.
Summer showings are daily at 1, 3, and 5pm.
General admission for either movie: $8
Seniors, Alaskans, and Military: $6
Children: $5 (under 4 years old is free)
The ramp entrance to the park is wheelchair accessible and so is the entire theater (along with handicapped restrooms.) If you would rather be dropped directly at the theater there is vehicle access. Just call in advance so we can have the gates down and back door open for you.
